The Rhode Island Department of Administration is offering a Voluntary Retirement Incentive (VRI) for those state employees of the Executive Branch who participate in the Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island (ERSRI), are currently eligible to retire on or before December 31, 2020 and who are the recipients of longevity payments under the State’s longevity program.

The State has conducted a review of its retirement records and will be sending out enrollment packages to those we believe may be eligible via email and the U.S. Postal Service, beginning Friday, January 15, 2021.
Enrollment packages will include longevity information, participation deadlines, an election form and a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
If you believe you may be eligible for this incentive but have not received a notification from the Department of Administration by Monday, January 25, 2021, please contact the Division of Human Resources at 401-222-2160 or doa.hrcontact@hr.ri.gov.
